Deanne and Chris’ September wedding at the popular and stunning Dodford Manor oozed an autumnal feel. When I first met with Deanne at her home and she talked about burnt oranges, peaches and ivory’s to complement her sage green bridesmaid dresses I knew it was a wedding I would love to have worked on so was over the moon when she confirmed she did want to work with me.

Deanne had a Pinterest image that she wanted recreating for her bouquet. I love Pinterest and think it is a great tool for wedding planning and can easily get lost amongst the images on an evening (!) I will happily use images as inspiration but I can never recreate the exact image you see – bare in mind they often have filters that distort the colour, the flowers could be out of season and more importantly it is another designer’s work. In Deanne’ case when I arrived with her bouquet, filled with Tulips, Dahlia’s, Roses, Grasses and Wheat her reaction was that it was better than the Pinterest image which is an amazing complement.

The buttonholes were rustic style bunches of spray Roses, Wheat, Grasses and Thistles and were just perfect for the late September, autumnal, harvest wedding.

The Groom had lovingly made air-fix model aeroplanes for the table centres and these were complemented with small bottles of flowers that complemented the wedding colours and style and placed on wooden slices which fitted the rustic barn venue perfectly.

“We totally loved our flowers from our wedding at Dodford Manor last September … Your flowers and arrangements tied everything together so beautifully, we really couldn't have been happier! … They are now encased in resin paperweights so we can enjoy them forever.
