When I first met with Emily for her consultation for her October wedding we discussed soft pinks, peaches and ivory’s to complement the dusky blue bridesmaid dresses she was considering. It wasn’t until a bit further in the planning process that Emily contacted me to say in hindsight she wanted some darker colours so that the flowers didn’t end up looking too summery. I designed with a combination of Memory Lane Roses, Black Baccara Roses, Bluberry Roses which added a softness alongside some deep, rich autumnal tones.
Emily opted for a loose natural – but rounded – handtied bouquet with smaller versions for her bridemaids and the men had traditional style single rose buttonholes. They opted to have Owen’s buttonhole a different colour to the groomsmen – which is a nice touch to make the groom’s flower stand out.
The quaint Church, nest door to Fawsley Hall is where they had their ceremony and after herding some sheep out the way I was able to get in to decorate the space. A large pedestal arrangement was placed at the front of the church and then re-purposed back at Fawsley Hall for the reception and small bunches of Gypsophila were dotted down the aisle.
Back over at Fawsley Hall their reception room was decorated with tall conical vases and large loose arrangements which complement the wedding colours and style and a small table spray was added to the top table.
Emily had ordered fresh flowers for her cake which were made with coordinating flowers and later in the day the bridemaid bouquets were used to decorate the table.
When the professional photos landed in my inbox from Ben Anderson Photography I just knew I had to write a feature on this wedding. Emily and Owen were such a lovely couple to work with and I enjoyed bringing their flower vision to life.
“Hannah created the flowers for my wedding and was brilliant throughout. She was lovely to work with, very friendly and accommodating and even my venue and other suppliers commented on this too. My flowers themselves were absolutely perfect, I did not want to put my bouquet down all evening and even the flowers she designed for my cake were gorgeous. She did such a good job in designing exactly what I wanted- I cannot thank her enough!”
